2016: A year in review

Here's a review of what ClubComm got up to in 2016...

  • We kicked off the year by supporting Sydney's live music scene at the FBi SMACS.
  • Everyone loves a free festival, so we went to Hyde Park for the Spectrum Now Festival's opening night.
  • A night of Karaoke in Darling Harbour kept us in tune back in March.
  • This was followed by a day out for the foodies at the Tella Ball Dessert Bar.
  • A highlight of the year would have to the the r-EU-nion of overseas commas in London.
  • And finally, we visited Manly for some beach times and Daniel San action.

ClubComm: Where networkers network and socialites socialise.

Entering it's eighth year of existence, ClubComm is the exclusively inclusive social club that wants to bring your online network to life. Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram are all fantastic tools for building great professional, personal and follower-based networks in cyberspace. We just want to facilitate those connections in real life.

How?

1. By introducing you to our #Commas and our #CommaCollective of talent and services. If you know a bit about our people, you're more inclined to meet them right? Right!

2. By inviting you to #ClubCommSocials and #Commtiki regional and international trips tailored to the various interests of our members.

3. By giving you a #CommaKeytag that will score you discounts at Comma-endorsed businesses across Sydney, encouraging you to engage with our #ClubCommunity.

Not your average network eh? So comm' see what we're all about in 2015.

ClubComm: Sydney's Original Social Club

After almost seven years, ClubComm is still proud to be Sydney's original social club of "Commas" who recommend activities and attend events organised by other Commas, expanding personal and professional networks each week.

Founded in 2007, we've delivered over 50 unique events, ranging from club nights and pub crawls, to picnics and beach days. We also launched a series of "Commtiki" tours within Australia and internationally.

As the ClubCommunity grows, Comma membership keytags can score you discounts at Comma endorsed cafes, bars and for other services. By supporting local businesses and promoting the skills of members, the club hopes to foster a creative "Comma Collective" of talent.

So whether you've been to an event, are a proud owner of a personalised Comma keytag or are simply interested in this Commcept, like ClubComm on Facebook, suggest an idea, hashtag us on Instagram and Twitter, or just comm' along to an event.

Comma Collective - Mon Ami - The Sampler 2013

As we approach the middle of 2013 and the end of the financial year, ClubComm is taking a trip down memory lane by recapping some of the musical highlights of the last six months.

In the style of last year's inaugural sampler, the Mon Ami Sampler 2013 will take you on genre-jumping journey through disco, dubstep, trap, and electro, with just a touch of ghetto to get you in the mood to party.

So have a listen and if it's to your liking, keep an eye on the ClubComm facebook page for upcoming gigs and events where this kind of music can be experienced...

Want to join the Comma Collective and share your stuff with our social club of keen supporters? Let us know!

2012. 12. CCS - Lockdown V - ClubComm's 5th and final bday

After five years of frivolous festivities, fine affairs and all round fun times, the time has come for ClubComm to throw its last grand party for all the Commas and compadres out there.

Come celebrate ClubComm's 50th and final event "LockDown V" on Friday 16 November.

Now while this will be the last ClubComm event, it's not the last of ClubComm. The community will remain on Facebook run by all the fun Commas we've met over the years (i.e. you guys!) That's how the social club was always supposed to be run.. not by some mysterious other (aka Monisha Ponnaiya) spamming you about parties etc. We will also continue to post bar recommendations, drinks specials and other deals on the page for all those loyal comma keytag holders.

So what's planned for the grand finale?

The formal part of the night WAS going to kick off at 5pm at the newly opened and exclusive QT Gilt lounge, however due to the increase in numbers we're upgrading to the Conservatory Bar at Sheraton on the Park. Here we'll pop a bottle and raise a glass to all the people who have made the last half decade a success.

The next part of the night is a 90s themed members house party at Comma HQ at 7:30pm. Food and drinks provided, Comma Collective DJ's on rotation and our infamous party bags for all guests.

And keeping with tradition, we'll conclude the night at ClubComm's all time favourite venue Q Bar from 9:30 onwards. It's hosted by Teen Spirit, "Prom After Party" themed and anyone who RSVPs will be on guestlist.

So that's it from us... and me :-)
xx Mon (Comma 001)
